About Southern Tier Celebrates
Southern Tier Celebrates! (STC) located in Binghamton, New York, is a
non-profit arts presenting organization, founded in 2002, a merger between two
long-standing area arts organizations - the Binghamton Summer Music Festival
& First Night Binghamton.
We present innovative, year-round arts programs to engage, excite and educate,
regardless of education, age, cultural background or socio-economic strata. We
reach thousands of area residents annually through our arts programs and have
been recognized by the NY State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and The National
Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for artistic excellence and community impact.

STC, presents the following (6) full-scale multi-disciplinary arts
programs: the Binghamton Summer Music Festival, which features both
ticketed and free performances in a variety of indoor and outdoor venues;
On the Plaza (a partnership between Senator Libous and STC!) which
features free performances and festivals at Government Plaza in downtown
Binghamton; First Night® Binghamton, a family-oriented, alcohol-free,
community celebration of the visual and performing arts on New Year’s Eve
with over 15,000 annual attendees; STC! On the Road, which brings
high quality performers and visual artists for in-house programs to regional
nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and at-risk youth programs;
STC! Arts Education, which brings arts programs via workshops and artist
residencies to schools, after-school programs, and the general public; and
the Brown Bag Lunchtime Series, a summer music collaboration with the
City of Binghamton.
STC also participates in area projects & collaborations with community
groups and non-profits, including:
